Why Eucalyptus?

Eucalyptus was born because
running a business is hard.

It’s even harder when you don’t start with a lot of experience with things like cash flow, margins, balance sheets, and payroll. Which, let's face it, most small business owners don't have (and frankly don’t want to have).

Our goal has always been to provide fractional CFO services to our clients, so that we could help our clients navigate the financial side of their business.

But we quickly found a problem:
an epidemic of bad bookkeepers.
One client went through 4 in 18 months!
So understanding that we can’t do high level financial planning without clean numbers to base that planning on, we decided to start a bookkeeping firm ourselves.
We use the techniques we have developed over the last 15 years at our previous firms to bring world class bookkeeping to clients, both on our own and through partnering with CPA firms and fractional CFO’s.
Business owners reviewing a reporting dashboard
So if you’re looking for tailored solutions that match exactly what your business needs (and nothing it doesn’t), bottom-line reports that are easy to digest and proactive advice from financial experts to help your business grow, you’re in the right place.
Let us handle the financial stuff, and you use your newfound freedom and sense of control to innovate and grow your business!

Our Core Values
Our People Come First
We will only be successful as an organization if we take care of the people we work with, employees and clients alike. For employees, that means flexibility with work schedules and locations, standard 4 day work weeks, the best benefits possible, and letting people be free to choose their level of involvement in the growth of the company.
Our Clients Come Next
We meet our clients where they are. Each business owner has a unique journey, and it is up to our team to understand not just the numbers on the page but how those numbers affect the business and the business owner.
Do Meaningful Work
The work we do helps businesses grow and thrive, which allows those businesses to support their owners and employees’ families. We serve our clients best when we remember that.
Communicate Clearly
Our employees and our clients work best when they have all of the necessary information needed to do their jobs. Accounting terminology can be difficult to understand, therefore it is our responsibility to make sure we are communicating numbers and concepts in a manner that works for our clients. For employees, remote work presents unique challenges in team building and change management. It is the organization’s responsibility to ensure all team members feel informed, seen, and heard.
Ask Questions
Assumptions are the root of many problems with remote work. When in doubt, ask!
